Work History
1961-1965 worked on the audit staff in the New York City office
of a national accounting firm
1965-1969 worked on the staff of Philip R. Friedman & Associates in York, PA
1969-2002 was a partner in the Friedman firm
1994-2002 was managing partner of the Friedman firm
2002 – “retired” and moved to Las Vegas – worked for a CPA firm there
2004 – “retired” again
2005 – moved back to York, PA
During the Friedman years audited several churches and non-profit organizations and taught seminars and workshops on clergy taxes for the Stewardship Foundation (UMC) and the Lower Susquehanna Synod (ELCA)
Interests
Collecting -- antiques (mostly early American) and chess sets (about 100)
Treasurer (Western Hemisphere) of Chess Collectors International (an international group of folks who collect chess sets)
Music – served 15 years as a church choir director and seven years as the
director of the Beech Tree Spiritual Players at Aldersgate UMC in York, PA
Woodworking – furniture, Christmas ornaments, chess sets and
whatever strikes my fancy
